Sandra is a graduate of McGill University with a major in English
Literature and Religious Studies, and of Humber College, where
she studied Cultural Management. She has also attended UC Berkeley,
Concordia University, and l'Université de Montréal,
The Thomas More Institute (Creative Writing), and the Visual
Arts Centre School of Fine Arts.
Sandra has worked with the Toronto Arts Council Foundation,
Theatre Ontario, Native Earth Performing Arts, the Crosscurrents
Festival and Factory Theatre in various capacities. She was
the Assistant Producer for the Lab Cab Festival’s inaugural
season, a multi-disciplinary arts festival at Factory Theatre.
She is currently the Manager of the prestigious Dora Mavor Moore
Awards, and the Vice-President of the Board of Directors of
fu-GEN Asian-Canadian Theatre Company.
Additionally, Sandra is the Associate Producer for Mammalian
Diving Reflex and Nightswimming Theatre companies. She has also
recently stepped in as the Producer for Toronto’s critically
acclaimed Company Theatre that is touring its production of
the Irish play A Whistle in the Dark to Newfoundland, as well
as presenting the Toronto premiere of Daniel MacIvor’s
Marion Bridge in 2007. Sandra is also a member of the Performance
Creation Canada Steering Committee.
